Here's a book cover design I did for Noah J. Mathews.
What a fantastic project! Noah was looking for a flat illustration style which I had little (no) experience with, but we both thought it would lend rugged northern landscape a freshness. The red-vs-blue theme fitted the story where characters go to a Michigan-feeling world to destroy an ice wall separating nations while learning to forgive—thawing the ice inside.

The full cover-art. I love the world within the silhouette, which suits the portal fantasy story.

The clean-ness of this style is quite appealing. I enjoy the subtle bear-like shape of the rock.

Noah also asked for a back page design, so I created the header visual and flipped the red/blue theme.

My mood bord and some of the concepts I went through while designing. Here I discovered the red/blue theme and leant strongly into that.
